Cinderella Retelling By Lyrissa

 Once upon a time there was a young girl and her parents that lived happily. one day her mother was very sick and died a few days later. A few years later her father had married another woman named Lady Treiman but she treated Ella like a maid. She was very cruel and selfish like her daughters. Anastasia and Drizilla would pick their noses secretly and were alo cruel and selfish. Ella's stepsisters mocked her and said “You always look like you're covered in ash”. They started to call Ella, Cinderella. One morning they were sent an invitation from the King and the Prince. They're going to be having a ball for the Prince and so the Prince could find a wife.

Cinderella was very sad that she couldn’t go to the ball, because she had asked her step

mother if she could go. The StepMother said “No”. because she had to clean the kitchen

and the rooms. Cinderella knew she wouldn’t have enough time to finish cleaning to go to

the ball and said.¨It will take a week”. The mice and the birds then started to help her

because they felt sorry for Cinderella. So when they were done Cinderella asked again and

said “I'm finished”. Her Stepmother said ¨Nobody wouldn’t want to look at you¨. 

¨You are so dirty and smelly¨. She ran to  the garden and started crying.

The Fairy Godmother waved her magic wand when Cinderella was outside. The Fairy

Godmother had appeared and said 

“You are going to the ball”. 

Cinderella said “What am I going to wear?”. so the Fairy Godmother waved her magic

wand and a pretty blue dress appeared on Cinderella with her glass slippers. A pumpkin

carriage appeared. The rats were the coach men. The Fairy Godmother said ¨Be sure to

leave the ball before 12AM or the spell will not work any more. So she went to the ball

and the Prince saw Cinderella. He couldn't take his eyes off her. The Prince asked

Cinderella for a dance. They had danced but forgot about the time. She ran to her carriage

and the Prince was following her. Cinderella was already gone. The Prince saw one of

Cinderella's glass slippers. Cinderella had made it home and was in her room.     

The Prince and Cinderella lived happily ever after. The Prince “said to go to all the girls in

this village and  look for who can fit the shoe. It” came to Cinderella's house but first her

sisters had to try it. Anastasia and Drizella both tried it but their foot could not fit the shoe.

The Prince had asked if there were any other women here and Lady Treman said “We only

have a kitchen maid and that's it”. So the prince went to her to try the slipper on her.

She slowly put the glass slipper on her foot and it fitted. The Prince married Cinderella.

Little Red Riding Hood Story Retold by Aadirai

 Once upon a time, there lived a little girl in a village. One day the girl’s grandmother made her a lovely bright red hood to where. The girl wore the hood every time she went out, and that’s why the people in the village called her Little Red Riding Hood. One fine day, Little Red Riding Hood’s Mother asked her to visit her Grandmother and give her a basket full of food because her grandmother was feeling very ill. “ “Remember  Little Red Riding Hood don’t talk to strangers ok” , said Little Red Riding Hood’s mother. 

“Yes Mother”, said Little Red Riding Hood. So Little Red Riding Hood started skipping to her grandmother’s cottage. She didn’t worry about getting lost in the forest because she knew the way to her grandmother’s place very well. As she was skipping to her grandmother’s cottage she saw beautiful flowers. 

“Wow look at these gorgeous flowers”, Little Red Riding Hood thought in her mind.  Then something was hiding in the shadows of the trees. It was big, it was hideous, and it was the Big Bad wolf. The Big Bad Wolf was very hungry, his stomach was grumbling so much. The Big Bad wolf didn’t want to eat the food in the basket, he wanted to eat Little Red Riding Hood. 

“Hello little one” said the big bad wolf. “What an earth are you doing here in this dark forest?”. 

“I’m going to visit my Grandmother’s cottage and to give her this basket of food”, said Little Red Riding Hood. Suddenly the Big Bad Wolf had an idea. He quickly went to Grandma’s cottage before Liitle Red Riding Hood did. When the wolf reached the cottage, in the front door window he saw grandma lying in her bed. This will be quite a treat, the wolf thought in his mind. So the wolf tried to sound like Little Red Riding Hood. 

“Grandma!, it’s me Little Red Riding Hood and I’m here to visit you, I also brought you a basket of food for you”, said the Big Bad Wolf. 

It was Little Red Riding Hood. “Come in come in”, said Grandma. Suddenly the wolf slammed the door open, “AAAAAAW”, Grandma screamed, and as quickly as he could the Wolf ate Grandma in just one gulp. After the wolf ate Grandma he wore her glasses and her hat and laid on her bed pretending to be Grandma. Finally Little Red Riding Hood reached her Grandma’s cottage. “Grandma!, it’s me Little Red Riding Hood and I’m here to visit you”. 

“I also brought you a basket of food for you”, said Little Red Riding Hood. 

“Come in dear”, said the Big Bad Wolf. So Little Red Riding Hood opened the door. Then she saw a lot of things that were different about Grandma. 

“My, what big eyes you have Grandma”, said Little Red Riding Hood. “All the better to see you with”, said the Wolf. 

“My, what big ears you have Grandma”, said Little Red Riding Hood. 

“All the better to hear you with”, said the wolf. 

“My, what big teeth you have Grandma”, said Little Red Riding Hood. “ “All the better to eat you with”, said the big bad wolf.

 “AAAAAW”, Little Red Riding Hood screamed very loudly. Then a wood cutter heard  Little Red Riding Hood scream and quickly went to Grandma’s house. When the wolf was about to eat Little Red Riding Hood the woodcutter came to save Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf got scared of the wood cutter. So the wood cutter cut the wolf’s stomach and saved the Grandma. After he saved her, Grandma stitched the wolf's stomach back to normal. When the wolf woke up he got frightened to see all three of them, so they started chasing the wolf away. The wolf never came back and they lived happily ever after.

This movie features Andrea, Sharon and Timnet. Their movie is about saving water. Andrea who was one of the star's of this film suggests turning the tap off when you brush your teeth. We hope you enjoy watching this movie. This movie was a practise run and was made on one of the school's iPads.
