More of our amazing Koru Pastel Artworks

During these last few weeks we have been creating pastel and dye koru artworks. We have been focusing on blending colours and using contrast colours to create a bold effect. Our teacher Miss Paton, has photocopied our master artworks and have made them double sided. We hope you enjoy looking at out artworks.

Our Amazing Koru Pastel Artwork

At the end of last term, during Maori Language Week we started drafting our Koru Patterns in our scrap books. Then we transferred our sketches onto paper. We used chalk to outline the Koru patterns. Then used pastel to blend our colours. We applied dye over the top, and then cut out and glued a range of Koru patterns over the top. After this Miss Paton, photocopied our artwork and laminated it so we could view it on the outside of the windows and also inside our classroom. There will be more of our lovely artworks posted next week.
