Our End of Term Art Project -Rooms 2 & 3

Our end of term project for this term is creating a stained glass window based on the nativity scene. A stained glass window tells a story. The most important aspect to stained glass windows is the black that divides the images into segments.
We started sketching our ideas last week and used the internet to find images. From there we had to create our first draft. Then we transferred our draft onto some big paper. At the moment the majority of the class are painting. We are looking forward to displaying these next week.

Ed Sheeran's Story By Cleo

This is my reading DLO on how Ed Sheeran was bullied as a child. When I was editing/making this, I found some interesting information about Ed Sheeran and his childhood. If you're willing to find out what information then you should give my DLO a chance.

Dressed in Confidence Fashion Parade

Today the Years 6, 7 & 8 girls had their Dressed in Confidence Fashion Parade. It was a wonderful session in which the girls strutted their stuff on the cat walk. It was great to see the class coming out of their shells and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones. They invited guests from most of the classes and we had a prize giving, finishing off with a shared afternoon tea. Thank you Nora Swann for being a great teacher and role model for the girls to aspire to.

Making Dumplings with Miss Guo

The Master Chefs of CTK have been busy in the school kitchen. Today we made dumplings with Miss Guo. It was a wonderful end of term treat and it was a real art wrapping up the pastry with the pork mince inside. Everyone's dumpling kept in one piece and did not fall apart. Karla was in charge of scooping the dumplings out of the boiling hot water. She did an amazing job. Well done Room 1 for a great team effort.
