Today the whole school went to the theatre show Whetu and Nick. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience live theatre. The show was about a British boy and a Maori girl who set out in the search for Captain Cook's Map, a kite and a mountain. The story linked beautifully to our Inquiry topic -A World of Contrasts. Nick and Whetu experienced lots of cultural differences throughout the show under the Maori and British lenses. This week as part of our writing, we will be writing recounts about the show and explore the contrasting themes that came from the show.
